50-100 Words Max!!!

Check out our creative Writing on Shantytown. We needed to choose either 50 or 100 words and write about something to do our Shantytown visit (it could be a little bit imaginative, or really imaginative!)

  1. MAKING BUSH HUTS
Room 9 did a big bush walk through the green leafy dark forest. We walked over a lot of little tiny skinny wooden bridges. On the track was lumpy slippery tree roots, it was tricky to walk over these.
To make a hut we used a tree and branches to make a frame and used a vine to tie it together. Then we put leaves on the hut to stop the hut from getting wet. Then we went inside the hut to have a photo taken. Then we headed back to Shantytown before the rest of the class.

Room 9 went to Shantytown and we were in groups. My group was group 5 Jack g, Summer, Reilly,Coralee, dad and me. We went up a track to make our huts we were allowed things off the ground we got ferns, wood and dead leaves. When we were finished we had to take a photo of my group in our hut then we had to wreak it so no one knew we were there. Some people found it hard to do the huts I didn't find it hard. When we walked up a hill I was really tired. When we were done with our huts we went back home.

  3. shantytown hut building
Room nine went to shantytown. We went for a walk into the bush. We had to find some sticks and we saw some blue mushrooms. My group got the best place we got all the furns and leaves they were so big we put the leaves over the hut. Paris and I went and found so vines to weave around the sticks. But the thing was we could'nt fit 5 people in our hut. The other groups could fit all there people in their huts but not us then we had to wreak our huts then go.

  4. Huts.
On Thursday Room 9 went to shantytown. One of the subjects was to build huts. It was really fun to build a hut in the bush because I like the bush. It was really hard to get into the hut. It was easy to brake the hut down with wood. By Griffin.

  5. Making huts
We picked up the sticks they were all squishy and slimey. We found a tree stump and we picked up the sticks and logs plus ferns. Woosh we ran with the sticks and logs to our tree stump to start our building my dad snaped a stick and there was goo inside the log. the goo inside the log went splat onto my dad and Troy. They got it onto there cloths. They were covered in goo for the rest of the day. For the hut we were the first finished with hut making.

  8. Hut Making
Room 9 did a big bush walk at shantytown. We got tired of walking so we stopped and made a hut out of sticks and leaves and other stuff. In my group was Haylee, Royden, Andrew, Bryan, Griffen and I.When we had made the huts laid all the sticks leaves and all the other stuff out on the ground and listened to a story of the early Maori. Then we walked up the hill and around the place we were playing at and had some lunch after that we made snares. shantytown was really fun

  9. Going on a walk
The sound of birds walking through the track you could see them every were and then stop! Go to your groups I heard we were all wondering what we were going to do hopefully not rolling in the mud! So off we went wait... were going to get dirty finding sticks and even worse we have to sit in the mud yuk! Walking down the track with mud all over you. It felt like i was a pig but I'm not. Wash time!
